How to Install an LED Strip

Installing LED strips is simple and can be done by anyone. Start by determining the length you need. You can easily cut the strip to size at the marked points. Ensure that the surface where you want to place the strip is clean and dry for optimal adhesion. Use the adhesive backing of the strip or place it in an aluminum profile for a sleek finish. What Are IP Ratings and Why Are They Important?

The IP rating of an LED strip indicates how well the strip is protected against dust and water. This rating consists of two digits: the first digit indicates protection against dust, and the second against water. For example, an IP20 LED strip is touchable by hand, but is not water-resistant, making it suitable for indoor use. An IP65 LED strip is protected against dust and water splashes, making it suitable for damp areas like bathrooms. For outdoor use or submersion in water, choose an IP67 LED strip, which is fully dustproof and waterproof. High IP-rated LED strips are perfect for outdoor lighting, such as in gardens or around swimming pools.
